Cummins BS6 Umbrella CRDI Pump Camshaft 5491674

The Cummins BS6 Umbrella CRDI Pump Camshaft, part number 5491674, is a replacement component for compatible Cummins BS6 common-rail diesel injection pump assemblies. Intended for fuel-injection pump repair and servicing, it helps workshops identify the correct camshaft when replacing a worn or damaged component.

Application and Function

The camshaft forms part of the injection pump’s mechanical drive and contributes to the timing of its pumping operation. During a pump rebuild, selecting the correct camshaft and checking related components are important steps toward restoring proper pump operation.

Confirm Compatibility Before Ordering

Match 5491674 with the part number on your existing component or the applicable pump parts catalogue. Confirm the pump identification number and engine application before purchasing. BS6 classification alone does not establish compatibility with every Cummins engine or pump.

Installation and Servicing

Installation should be carried out by a qualified diesel fuel-injection technician. During repair, inspect associated pump components for wear or damage and follow the applicable manufacturer’s assembly and testing procedures. Replacing the camshaft alone may not resolve faults elsewhere in the fuel system.
